1943 – 2020

On Wednesday November 25th, 2020 Carlos passed peacefully at the age of 77.

He is survived by his wife Rosa of 55 years.

His memory will live on through his five children, Grace (Emmanuel), Joe (Adel), Roberto (Carla), Natalia(Phillip) and Elisabete (Gilberto) as well as 17 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. He is also survived by his sister in U.S.A Carmila (Luis). Carlos was predeceased by his father Jose, his mother Maria de Carmo and sister Armenia Tavares.

Carlos was born on August 5, 1943 in Ponta Delgada Azores, Portugal. He immigrated to Canada in 1972 and made Winnipeg his home. He was a hard working family man who worked hard to fulfill his passion for Automotive Mechanics, Azores Auto Service for 22 years until his retirement. Carlos lived his life to the fullest.

The Family would like to thank all the staff at GH4 ward for all their support.

A private funeral liturgy will be celebrated in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave, on December 1, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. After which he will be laid to rest at Brookside Cemetery. To access the live stream of the liturgy, please visit: voyagefuneralhomes.com at service time.
